Sloppy and wandering steering
My car just doesn't want to stay in one lane. I took it to a reputable alignment and frame shop and here's what they found: Worn drag link, bent right spindle/steering knuckle, extensive cracks in the frame around the steering box allowing the box to flex before the wheels move, and finally the driver's side wheel is knocked back by an inch. No wonder the car feels so loose. They want $450 to fix everything. Does it sound reasonable?
I'm not so sure about the driver's side wheel being back by an inch though because they didn't really measure it like they're supposed to and it's actually the passenger side wheel that seems knocked back. But then again, everytime I turn right the driver's side wheel seems to drag and scrub the pavement. Anybody know about frame alignment? thanx in advance

my car seems to do the same thing.
$450 is a lot of money, that's why I am learning how to fix my T/A myself. I can use all that labor money on other mods.

My thoughts exactly. I can't blow $450 away on something I know I can darned well do myself too. All I'll let them do is weld the cracks in the frame rails and pull the frame if need be. Before they do that I'll pop in the new drag link and spindle.
