eibach springs on car, seems to sit too low.
I've had an eibach pro kit on my car for a while now, I had my mechanic put the fronts in over the summer of 99 and I put the rears in myself in late spring, got a 4 wheel align etc. car handles awesome, only setback is bumps and the eagle ga's on it. When I had my mechanic putting on an alternator today he showed me how the front suspension is resting on the rubber stoppers (driver's side is on the stoppers, passenger side has a little bit of room, but not much) Does anyone else have an eibach prokit that seems to have these same problems? the springs can't be shot I have 19K miles total on my car, and 3000 at the most since the front springs have been in. My main problem is that I kinda wrecked the car 5 years ago and they put a firebird front clip on, no idea if it was a 6 cylinder, 8 or anything. Everything externally seems to line up, I just wanna know if my car is a problem or if anyone else has these same issues

Sorry I dont have the eibach springs on my car. But you could always install some of the shorter urathane stops. Jegs has some that will work. That would get you off the stops at least.

I would make sure you have the correct springs. My friend got eibacks and they sent hime the wrong ones. I have heard from a few other people that they got the wrong ones too.

Hi,
Are you using the stock bumper stops? If you
then what you are experiencing is normal.
The Eibach kit that you got should have come
with smaller bump stops.

I put in Hotchkis springs that had the same problem. They settled another .5" over time (total 1.75"), and caused grabbing in the front suspension under compression. I just put in Global West springs, and I'm much happier. No more suspension grabs. They aren't progressive, and are quite stiff, but drive much better on the road. I'm surprised how much more I like them. And they kick *** in the twisties compared to the Hotchkis springs. Eibachs and Hotchkis have similar spring rates. My GWs are 640 lb/in front, 160 lb/in rear.
By the way, give us an update on the alternator install on the Electronics board.
