Goodyear Eagle F1's aint' sticky *help*
Simply put, my rear-wheel tread is at about 75% of what my front tread is, as a result of some mild mischief~ several small peel-outs (no smoke). Anyhow, the rubber is way soft (now I knnow) and I the car barely keeps it's **** on the pavement in the rain. I know to a certain degree it's natural, but this is too much... question is, do I rotate now and put more tread on the backs? It'd give me more traction, but the front might start slipping... not sure. Some advice here plz...

JZA with more weight on the front the tread difference will be an insignifigant factor on how the tires perform. The tire manufacturer has designed the tires to work properly within 2/32 of an inch of tread. The rear is also the area of highest wear on a rear wheel drive vehicle and should have the tires with the most tread on them. The front tires will always wear slower. By your rules the rear tires will never get rotated. Alignment wear will also take it's toll on the front tires. PVKnight just rotate your tires and chech your rear suspension bushings for wear. Also, make sure your springs are not sagging. This will cause improper lower control arm angles in the rear and the tires will loose traction easier. If traction is still a problem in severe weather after rotating tires and the rear suspension checks out fine look into aftermarket lower control arms and a sandbag for weight in the rear.

I know what you mean about the tires never getting rotated. Basically, I rotate mine every 3k miles no matter what the tread looks like.
Those weren't my rules dude, just quoting what they told me the two weeks I worked in a tire store. It does sound like a convenient excuse to convince someone to buy two tires, doesn't it?
Your argument was well put, so I rethought what I posted..

I worked in a tire store for 5 1/2 years as a tech and service manager. It is a good way to sell tires and it's crap. I have heard it all from the tire sales business.
