Questions for the 1LE'ers in the crowd...

1LE front brake conversion is underway, and I need a few part numbers. One is for a set of SS braided hoses, earls, russel or otherwise. The other is for the little caliper retainer pin/circlip that holds the pads to the anchor plate. I couldn't find one at any of the local parts stores so I might have to try the dealer. TIA guys.

The Earl's braided S/S hose kit for 1LE cars is 28A190 and cost me $104 from Earl's in Indy, Indiana. They're the only source of front 1LE braided S/S hoses I could find. The caliper pin's part number is 10132826 and the circlip's part number is 10132824.

Hey thanks 99Hawk, following your advice I bought them last night at Summit, $102.90 shipped.

GMPartsDirect.com told me that the caliper pin (PN 10132826) has been replaced by part number 10140666, and that the circlip (PN 10132824) has been discontinued. I'm wondering if the replacement number includes a circlip. If not, does anybody know where I can find a pair of pins and clips? I've ruled out the local stores. Actually, one store can get me the circlips (wagner makes them), but not the pins. Maybe I'll just order a few pair of pins for future brake jobs, and get the clips from this store. Any advice guys?

That's what I'd do, get the pins from GM and the clips from the local store. You'll really enjoy swapping brake pads with the 1LE brakes since it's -so- much easier than the stock brakes.

Ford uses the same clips and pins on the '94+ Mustang Cobra's front brakes.
