MIG welding removal..............

the clown that installed my SFC'S did a bum job. Now i want them out and done correctly. The welds are only on the fwd mount points, and they are the SSM ones. Can the welds be remove/cut. I had the notch out a 6 inch piece on the pass side one to clear the Y-PIPE. I should have had him pull the pipe and rebend it. The point is they have to come out 'cuz i think it's ghetto, even though i'm the only one who knows. Also i don't want the crap welds to break and pole vault my car at 65 mph. Thnx for your advice THE SHAGGY IROC

Yeah, sure, no problem. Just grind them away. If you don't have a grinder, maybe a grinding stone on a power drill would work- but wear eye protection either way. Try not to dig too deeply into the car's frame.

arc air, fast and easy, or more correctly carbon arc gouging. if there is a lot of weld to remove you might want to consider taking it to a weld shop, but who ever does it would have to have a good hand and lots of tallent for this to not mess it up more.
