Brakes are squealing?

Whenever I begin to depress the brake pedal i hear a squealing noise coming from the rear driver side tire. This noise also occurs when i am letting off the brake at about the same point that it squeals when i depress the brake. It also occurs when i take sharp left hand turns. I am not really sure what it is. I dont think its the pads because the squealing occurs right before the pads are actually applied or released. Has anyone had this problem with their car or can anyone help me. Thanks.
