Wider rear stance

What would be the result in handling if I were to get some spacers to put on my rear wheels and say widen the stance .25 inches? Would it oversteer, understeer, etc. I think it would look a little cooler.

By widening the rear width your result would be more traction in the turns.

For straight line racing, nothing.

Widening your track .25 would be hardly noticable at all. Nor do I think widening it would help any in the corners, if it did it wouldn't be noticable, not with that small of an amount. If you want it to look cooler by widening the stance then why don't you get some 9 inch rims for the back and put some fatter meats on.

It would be easy enough to add the spacers. Just grab some from car with aluminum rear drums at a pick-a-part. Just a reminder though; change the wheel studs to some longer ones while you are at it.

My car has a slightly wider than normal stance. I have Front GTA 16" wheels all the way around with 255/50/16 tires on the back.
Looks pretty darn good. I'll have pics on my site when I get my hands on a digi camera again.
