Need to Raise the Front .5"

Ok i got my springs installed today and the rear looks sexy. But...the front is just too low. I jacked the car up half an inch and it looks perfect. How should i raise the front that little half inch? i know it doesn't sound like much but it makes a huge impact appearence wise.

I know there's some things that go inbetween the coils to raise them a bit, would that work? I'm sure it'll raise the spring rate, but i really don't care. Or is there some kind of spacer that can go on top of the spring perch other than the stock insulator?

Thanks guys

I'd recommend using thick rubber/urethane insulator instead of those cheesy little things that fit between the spring coils.

No idea who makes them though. I'd look in the 4x4 world though, to find anything to lift a car.

Or get weight jacks.....Just a turn of the wrench & the car is higher.

Re: Need to Raise the Front .5"

Weight jacks are coming some year! Prolly when i put in a k member if i don't go coil over.

The only problem i'm seeing now if i put a spacer on top is how reliable is that? I mean the perch that the spring goes around up there isn't very deep, and i could see the spring sliding off that spacer. Those things that go between the springs are really cheap, and if they work they work lol. It's not like i'm raising it 1+ inches

Re: Need to Raise the Front .5"

use the rear spring insulator on the front, maybe cut it down a hair. It should locate over the hump in the k-member pocket and raise the car at least 1/2", probably more like 3/4, hence cutting it down a little

Re: Need to Raise the Front .5"

those cheesey little things that fit between the coils are called spring rubbers. They are used if you need to stiffen a spring rate a little. They are an easy alternative to changing a spring if you need a small adjustment at the track. They are not intended for use as a spring spacer.
