Staying true - OEM brake parts - where?who?
Hey guys.
I've got a 89 Formula in 99% original condition. Last summer I redid the rear drums and now I'm moving onto the front.
This car is driven less than 10,000KMS (6200mi) a year and mostly on the highway.
It doesn't make sense to upgrade the brakes.
So, what I need to know is, where can I get OEM brake parts (rotor, caliper, brake lines) that are OEM but not as expensive as GM directly?
Thanks

you mean oem appearing? except for the brake lines any parts store should be able to help. for the prebent brake lines i'd try nextgen. you can't buy them from a dealer all you'll get is a straight piece for unversal fit.

By brake lines I'm assuming rubber hoses. Any auto parts store can get you Raybestos or Autospecialty rotors and pads. The Raybestos brute stop line is real good, and Autospecialty rotors and metal-lux pads are real good.
If you want rebuilt calipers, you can also get them from any of the major parts chains, although sometimes they cut corners in the reman department. ACDelco reman calipers are probably your best bet. I got my PBR 1LE aluminum calipers from a place called King Kalipers in Danvers, MA. They're reman'd with genuine PBR seals and pistons. Everything has fresh machine marks also, and it appears that the bores were sleeved. They do a nice reman. Good luck man.
