Upper strut mount movement?
Upper strut mount movement?
The car is a '92 Z28.
Last night I pulled the cut stock springs, and the Koni hydraulic struts and put 900lbs springs and the yellow Koni sport stuts in.
After swapping the RF strut out, I noticed that part of the mount that the top of the strut bolts to moved about 1/2" up as weight was applied to the RF wheel as I lowered the car back down.
I checked the LF which I had not swapped out, and noticed the same symptoms. I went ahead and swapped the LF out and saw the same things.
Is this sort of movement normal??
Thanks!

Did you replace the stock strut bushing? IIRC, there is a bushing up there and that could account for some movement I suspect.
