bleeding brakes

bleeding brakes

ok the car hit a curb at about 40... now brakes dont work much... master clyinder was low but not empty when it hit.. i think maybe some air got in the lines when it hit the curb..... ive bleed the rears.. and now cant get the front bleeder nut-valve ot open... its rounded....any suggestions??

Suggestions,
Be sure to only use 6 point sockets where ever possible. 12 points tend to round off bolts and nuts.

Get a vise grip and really clamp down on the rounded bleeder bolts. Buy new bleeder bolts if you can get the old ones out.

If this all works, bleed the front calipers.

BTW, never let the master cylinder go dry as you bleed the brakes. Top off the master cylinder each time you start to bleed a caliper. If you need alot of attempts to get all of the air out of a particular line, you should refill the master cylinder while you are doing that caliper.
