Rear brake question

Took off the rear tires saturday night while fixing the car to attempt to do the brakes and what do i find? Appears to me and a few others that i have 2-piston aluminum calipers....WTF? should my car have them? do i have(or should i have) single piston calipers up front? Has any GTA recieved 2-piston calipers in the rear brakes? any info would be nice

As far as I know, all 3rd gens with rear disk brakes had single piston calipers. My stock IROCZ with a L98 engine has single piston calipers.

If you absolutely sure that you have dual pistons calipers, then I think that they are aftermarket.

I assume that you are NOT the original owner of this car, otherwise you would know that they are OE.

I agree, they're 1-piston aluminum calipers. They have fins on the outside of the calipers and the rotors are almost 12" in diameter. Standard equipment for a GTA of that year.
