I recently had to replace the front brakes on my 91 Z28. I had the rotors turned,took everything off packed the bearings and put on Bendix titanium mettalic pads. drove the car and the wheels got hot as heck you could smell them and even a little smoke, so I took them back off and replaced the calipers because I figured they were sticking 163,000 miles original calipers. Put everything back together drove it don't get hot anymore and brakes work fine but they roar like a 4X4 tire going down the road
any ideas

 

oh yea I also replaced the front lines with Russell braided ones.

 

anybody this groaning noise is really annoying and I would like to fix it if I can.

 

Those front pads are the ones I use, and I get no noise. Do the pads growl all the time, or just when you brake? I'm wondering if you didn't bend the "ears" of the outer brake pads against the caliper housings enough... or maybe your anti-rattle spring is busted?

yea, it groans all the time just going down the road it sounds just like riding in a 4X4
