Abs Retrofit

I was thinking about retrofiting an abs setup from a 93 lumina with discs onto to my 1le brake system. I know for a fact they operate with the same amount of line pressure. I am not really worried about the abs sensors i just would like to get equalized line pressure. Has anyone ever tried something like this before ?

1) Even if you did install every component into your car except the wheel speed sensors, the system would be inactive due to the lack of the speed sensors.

2)You could not adapt the "W" body wheel speed sensors to work on a 3rd gen.

3) Even if you could get everything to fit and function, "W" body cars handle and brake very differently from "F" body cars, and the calibration in the ABS controller would make the car react in an unpridictable manner, probably causing a wreck.

4) Equalized line pressure? What are you getting at?

I was also thinking of retrofit ABS onto my '82Z28 which is 1LE equipped. Is it possible?? Maybe from a 4th gen??

4th gens used an axle monted speed sensor, wich used a "reluctor ring" on the carrier assembly, so you would need to swap out rearends. As for the front speed sensors, that would be a challenge. I don't understand why "1LE" brake owners are trying to put ABS in there car. Like I said about the "W" body cars, the 4th gen "F" bodies handle and brake differently from a 3rd gen "F" body, and therefore, the ABS computer will probably act unpredictable under braking conditions. It would be like trying to run an LS1 engine with a stock TPI computer and PROM.
