Wheel hop

I have a 92 bird with a stock suspension. When I get on the throttle the rear wheels hop alot thru 1st and 2nd gear. I have checked for broken parts and everything is fine. My buddies camaro does not have this wheel hop problem. I only have $700 in the entire vehicle right now and it is nice. I would like to fix this wheel hop for cheap if possible. Will a poly torque arm bushing for $12 fix it or do I need control arms and the like? Thanks for the help.

I cheaply eliminated wheel hop on my 87 Firebird by having a friend weld a piece of steel onto the bottom of the stock LCA's. They're not much heavier the stock, but stronger, and cheaper than aftermarket.
Still works great.....
So when we experienced wheel hop on our 84 Z28 Autocross car we did the same 'cheap' fix. Except that for the racecar, because of running slicks, we added a piece of 1" cold rolled steel welded into the channel in the LCA. These are about 3lbs each heavier than stock, but work great. We added poly bushings also, and have no wheel hop AT ALL. These will be replaced eventually, but only because aftermarket ones are lighter.
Here's a decent pic of the ones on the racecar:

Make sure your shocks and all the bushings in the trailing arms and panhard bar are in good shape, if any of these are worn it could cause wheel hop, if all this is in good shape a poly torque arm bushing will help.
