Hello to all,

I just finished installing Bilstein shocks/struts on all four corners of my car. Some where in the research/purchase/install I remember seeing something about removing the bumpstops from the vehicle because the shocks/struts had their own internal bumpstop. I am confident this information was on Bilstein paper work but I can't find it.

Can someone provide me with some more information.

Thanks

Re: Bilstein and Bumpstops
Ok, Checking the Bilstein website for the F4-VE3-C522-H0 HD front strut the instructions read....
"Do not reuse original bump stop, since
BILSTEIN cartridge has built in bump stop."

Continuing to read the instructions...

"Make sure
that the bump stop and dust cover are correctly
and properly fastened."

Wow, don't you just love consistency.

Re: Bilstein and Bumpstops
I see no purpose in removing the bumpstops.

Re: Bilstein and Bumpstops
FYI. According to Bilstein the front struts do have internal bump stops listed on the factory bill of material build sheet.
