Best Stop for the buck?!?!

Hey guys,

Just needed some quick experienced responses. I have a 85 Iroc (hense the name ). Anywho it came with factory optional disk breaks, and its a lowered vehicle with progressive stiff springs. Im not at all impressed with the breaking, i have full pads, a good booster/master cylinder (to my knowledge) yet doesn't seem to stop quick enough. I have had to nail the breaks too due to some lucky local wildlife :P. So what are some good pads? i have good engine vacum so i dont know why this thing doesn't stop better. any suggestions i would love to hear them all, i want some impressive stopping power. Thanks.

The thirdgen brakes were woefully inadequate from the getgo..... You can try using carbon-metalic pads, and it will improve performance some, but, the real answer is to upgrade the entire system. There are several articles on this site addressing just such issues. (look in the technical articles section....)

Have fun now.
