What's involved in stb install?
I just ordered a load of stuff from summit to take advantage of their 10% off sale. I ordered a edelbrock strut tower brace for the tbi and was wondering what is involved in the installation?

Me too! I'm planning on a mass purchase but may wait for the Spohn STB. D
oes the front end need to be aligned first befor a STB install?

Hey,
The things that are involved are a tape measure, a drill, steady hand, and some praying. The end result is worth it though.
I installed it by myself, but I would suggest having a buddy around to help you. IMHO I would wait to see what Spohn comes up with, it might be an easier install, as the Edelbrock brace fits a little too snug, it may be easier in a camaro however, they may have more room in front of the strut brackets. I put mine on a year after I had purchased it and that was because I got tired of looking at it in the garage. You will need to assemble it loosely, measure out the center of the engine compartment, mark the spot to drill, and hold your breath. The biggest pain are the mounts close to the firewall, the others are a cinch.
As for an alignment, it is never a bad idea. I would say do it just to get rid of that uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach. Any questions look at my profile and email me.
Good Luck!
Julian

I didn't find it to be too hard. Just make sure you get everything aligned and drill the holes straight. I found it easier with the firewall bolts, that helped me in check. You don't need an alignment before or after but if you haven't gotten one in a while it might not be such a bad idea.
