Cheapest ($ wise) lowering springs

Cheapest ($ wise) lowering springs

I want to lower my car at least 2 inches. what is the cheapest place i can get some. i found some good ones for $260 but is there any place cheaper. Thanks in advance...

oh. and whats the max you can lower our cars without replacing the A-Arms. Thanks

I have seen 1 1/2 inchers for 189...out of summit..Intrax I think is the manufacturer...I do not know the quality though I am interested in some and would like to know more about them...Personally I would only lower max 1 1/2 inches or else you run into big tire clearance probs. And 1 1/2 inches is a good stance with even 16's...better with 17's...

I bought my Intrax for $100 off Ebay! Brand new, never installed. The company was auctioning off a lot of them for different cars. Springs and Things was the company you might want to look them up.

86 Trans Am 355 TPI Rebuilt 700R4 with Corvette servo, modified valve body, and a B&M Torque Converter (2000 rpm stall w/ lock up), 87 350 block bored .30 with new crank. Reworked 305 heads with 3-angle valve job. Added in the rebuild was an SLP TPI cam, BBK 58mm Throttle Body,MSD 6A, Hypertech Power Coil,MSD Wires, 1.5 Crane roller tipped rocker arms, SLP Intake Runners and Port matching in upper intake including fully ported plenum, TPIS adjustable fuel pressure regulator @ 46psi, Hooker shorty style headers w/ Thermotech heat wrapping, Custom 3” exhaust with Flowmaster muffler and chrome quad tips, Hypertech Thermomaster Computer chip, K&N open element cone filter on modified MAF per TPIS specs, removal of A/C hardware and added a 1LE firewall cover installed. those BMR ones in the link above are Jamex springs if anyone's interested. I emailed them, and got a reply in a matter of hours. If I can save up the cash fast enough, I just might order a set myself.

JC whitney sells some clamps that you can use to clamp one coil of each spring completely compressed. don't know how much it costs but I'm sure it's cheaper then new springs and a lot easier to install to.

you dont need the spring compressor when installing the lowering springs.

hey i just put the Jamex springs on the other day and WOW! the car handles much better now. i went ahead and had the allignment checked and it was a little off so they fixed it. the fronts were'nt that bad and the rears takes all of 20 minutes to put in.

I got a set of drop springs but have not installed them yet. Mostly because of the obvious difaculty for the front install...Exactly how bad is it?...I have a compressor and air gun...
