Contact patch ?
Ok here goes, this is kinda a theoeretical ?
If 2 tires both have contact patches that are the same size, Lets say 120sq inches. But one is 12in long and 10in wide, And the other is 10in long and 12in wide. Which is going to hook better????
I "think" it would be the tire that has more patch in line with the car, 12 long,10 wide.
Help me here.

Hm, good question... I actually thinkboth would have the same amount of friction, and the car would hook just as well with either.
Although, since a tire is a circle, maybe the tire with the wider contact patch (in line with the axle) would have more hook, since the patch isn't curved as much...??
