I got some ?'s about lowering my car.

I like how my cars suspension is but I would really like to change how it sits. I was wondering what is the best way to do it or how much I should change it. I was going to raise the back 1" and lower the front 1" but Im not sure if thats a good I dea so thats why I ask you guys, the pro's. Well If you know any info that would help I would like to hear it. Thanks

I have a 1984 Z28 Camaro 305 H.O. It also has a 5-speed. It had a 3.73 posi rear-end but that had to be taken out due to some breackage of a couple of teeth. so I am currently looking for a *posi unit and 4.10 gears*.

Projects for the future are: I have a 4 gen SS hood scoop to put on my car and when I get that complete I plan On getting a K&N open element and Xtreme filter lid.

By the way My little stock 305 runs 14.5 @ 96mph on the 1/4 mile. I think thats pretty good for a stock 305.

I have a 84Z28 HO and just recently changed to the Eibach pro-kit springs and tokico shocks/struts. My car had the reverse tilt goin'. Big gap over front whls and small gap in rear. When I put in the new springs they lowered the front 1" and raised the back by .5". It now has the proper rake. Only thing I can figure is the rear springs were shot. I have taken off the a/c and smog pump so that helped lighten the front end.
Hope this helps,
email me direct if you have any questions/comments because I don't always have time to check the board.

Recent additions: Del-A-lum front control arm bushings, Moog ball-joints, Energy suspension front sway bar end links, Moog rear sway bar end links, Eibach pro-kit springs, tokico shocks/struts. Need relocation brackets and control arms.

I had the same reverse rake thing goin' on as Craig84Z. I put new shocks all the way around and that fixed it. I'm going to lower it with Intrax Springs. I just wish I would've gotten Koni adjustable shocks. You ain't gotta take 'em off to adjust 'em. The adjuster is on the shock tower.
