Steering noise???

When turning the wheel back and forth at low speeds i hear a popping sound? Has anyone ever had this problem before, and if so how did you fix it. All the tie rods are new and the ball joints appear okay. ???????????

Do you also hear a rattling when going over bumps (kind of like someone shaking a handful of coins). If that is the case, I'd check the sway-bar end links. If they're stock, they're rubber. I also noticed the popping sound with my car. I haven't heard the noise, since I replaced the end links with polyurethane ones. I replaced them because they were brittle and rubber pieces had broken off.

Something you may want to check.

Check your frame rail behind your steering box to see if it's cracked. It's a common problem, I had it on mine. A little MIG and a wonderbar, the car now drives like new. No more popping either!
