Bad upper strut mount?
To start I replaced everything about a year ago, all bushings, ball joints, yada...., except the upper strut mounts. I didn't think that they were wear items at the time so now that I know better how can I tell if they need to be replaced? I do have a weird noise coming from the passenger side that has gotten noticably worse over time, and now I've even heard the classic ball joint "POP" when turning and backing up. Just wondering if anybody has had a similiar experience wiht them. Also, any suggestions on where to get them, brand, or even price.
Thanks in advance.

My 84 Z28 did this all the time. I felt like I was driving a dodge intrepid HAHA. It wasn't worth repairing because the car has 320,000 Km and now somebody bought it ans is using the drive train in one he is building hahah. It makes a weird pop sound that goes away sometimes. My toyota 4X4 did it too.

On a buick I had the strut bearings at the top of the struts were bad. There was a creaking sound as the steering wheel was turned. I have just replaced the struts on my 83 and the bearings were rough so I replaced them now instead of later

So is everyone saying that it is most likely the cause of the noise. I've checked the wheel bearings and they were nice and snug with no signs of wear.
