Re: camaro ws6

Sub frame connectors? Third gen SFC should fit into all third gens from 82-82 no matter what model they are.

The WS6 handles great because it has heavier spring rates and bigger sway bars. This also makes for a stiffer ride. Same goes for the Z28. Base model cars don't have this performance suspension package and will ride a lot softer to sacrifice handling.

SFC should go into all third gens no matter what model they are.

Re: camaro ws6

Any 3rd gen anything in the suspension, including all the parts that are different between a "WS6" (which is now a BUZZWORD since they stuck that on the side of the about 98-up Birds, and even though it was the "top of the line" suspension option before that, which since it had no consistent definition from year to year, had no specific meaning until it became a buzzzword) are worn out and trashed, and are no better than the worn out and trashed old base-model stuff you have now.

The "subframe" itself, which is called the K-member, is absolutely indistinguishable from and identical in every way to what you have now. Same part #. Identical in every detail.

If you're talking about "subframe connectors", which are aftermarket pieces that someone might buy and add on, there is no difference between ones that someone might have at some time bought and put on a car that came with the buzzword suspension option, and any others. There is no magic of any kind that will transfer from the buzzword car to yours. If you want some, go buy some. Forget the ones on the buzzword car, you will spend twice what new ones cost trying to get those off without ruining them. They're CHEEEEEEP.

Apart from that, leave the buzzword behind. Worry about reality not buzzwords. Replace what's worn out and trashed on YOUR CAR with new better stuff. If you want subframe connectors (which you do, as Alky said, whether you know it yet or not) get a set. The ONLY thing that an old worn out and trashed 20-odd year old car will have that might be not so worn out and trashed that it might improve your car, is the sway bars. You could get those. Everything else is garbage because it's just as old and worn out and trashed as what you've got now.

Re: camaro ws6

82-92 steering gear boxes use a 12:1 ratio. all other gm(except corvette) used either 16:1 or 13:1-16:1 variable ratios.
