sorry...STUPID sway bar question follows

I apologize in advance, may seem simple but I need a little help.

While I was changing my front pads on my 91 B4C, 5.7 Non 1LE equipped car, I noticed that the passenger side of my sway bar was disconnected. The driver side is on ok, but the pass side is just hanging out. Dont see any damage, other than the end link looks a little worse for the wear. Not really sure why its not hooked up, but I want to replace the end links anyway. Now my question is, is there any steps I need to take to install the new endlinks? Do I have to jack the suspension up or just support it? Help...I have never dealt with suspensions other than old chevy lift kits for my truck...

helps to drive the car up onto blocks or ramps so you can get under it.
