changing pads on 84 rear disk brakes
I am having trouble on my 84 TA...
i am trying to get the rear pistons to compress and have had no luck...
how do i manage to get them back in... i got one of those universal caliper tools... but it didnt fit the 84 calipers...
so any help is appreciated...

Don't use a C clamp on the rear calipers, they have screw type pistons and you'll destroy the threads. You have to screw the pistons back in (counter clockwise I think but I don't remember) while you push.

got it...
i had to buy a new caliper... mine was missing a berring and was hanging up when you tried to turn it...
btw... there is a bolt on the back of the early rear disk calipers... if it is turned counter clockwise i think it will pull the piston in...
