BMR Sub frame connector ?'s
I ordered a pair of BMR sub frame connectors and was going to put them on my car but as i started sizing them up it looks like there will definately be clearence problems with my y-pipe. I have the headman headers and y-pipe.
I decided to remove the y-pipe and go with the install anyway, but my question is this. I put the back end of the sub frame connector into the LCA mount on the passenger side and bolted it up loosely so that I could swing it up and down. Now in order for the front to meet the frame and bolt in i have to bend it towards the frame about 1/4-1/2 inch of so. Does this mean that my frame is not straight? This was only on the passenger side. The driver side bolted up just fine.
After installing the sub frame connectors it appears that I can massage the y-pipe in order to get it to fit but it would probably be restiting up against the sub frame connector. What could happen because of this? I know my pretty red connectors would probably loose their nice color their but I was also thinking about then banging like when the motor revs and on bumps and stuff?

if the SFCs rest against the exhaust you will have a tapping as you rev or back off the motor, the exhaust will TAP against the SFCs, and yes your pretty lil red paint will also come off.
and just try and adjust your ypipe and if you cant, take it to a muffler shop and have them. and while they are there, have them drop a bead line on the SFC,s to secure them forever!

and just try and adjust your ypipe and if you cant, take it to a muffler shop and have them. and while they are there, have them drop a bead line on the SFC,s to secure them forever!
