Bad noise on lock

I wondered if any one knows why I get a god awful noise on full lock to the right the left does not seem to do it. it sounds like real heavy metal creaking.I was told by a mechanic at the last MOT that therwas play in one of the wheels but he could not identify where. don't know if this has any thing to do with it

My thirdgen does it, my friends does it...

I never had it looked at because it's not all -that- bad on mine, but I believe it's because the wheel is scraping the wheel-well because it's being turned so far... thats what I was told anyway...

Anyone have any other suggestions?

I don't know about yor Camaro, but on my Iroc I had this noise also when I would turn left. Finally one day the car started pulling to the left real bad. I looked under the hood, had my dad turn the wheel back and forth and noticed that the left-side frame rail was cracked halfway through behind the steering box, this was allowing the entire body to twist when you turned the wheel, and I could see it flexing up and down! This really sucked to see happening in front of my eyes. Might wanna give yours a looksee, could be a few things on your car making this noise, but this was what was making my metal creaking sound.
