Tilt on 91 RS
Tilt on 91 RS
I just bought a 91 RS and it tilts to the passenger side a little. What could cause this? Bad shocks maybe?

Shocks won't cause the car to tilt, the springs will. Check them out for proper condition and placement under the car. Maybe the previous owner had a little, ahem, "baggage" on the passenger side. If they're shot, you could upgrade the springs to Eibachs, Hotchkis, or find a set of IROC springs for cheap and stiffen that RS up a bit. Hope this helps.
Thanx for the help. What exactly am I looking for when I examine the springs?

Broken ones mainly. I just recently had to change out my rear springs for this reason. One day I noticed, walking out to my RS, that it tilted slightly back and to the right. So when I looked under there, sure enough I had a broken spring. If none are broken, you have to take milage/use into account. I've just passed 150k and the originals were still on there....sheesh.
