Whenever I turn my wheels while stopped or while at low speed, while going over a speed bump, or while going around a turn quickly the front of my car makes a knocking noise. It sounds almost like metal bending or a shock that's bad? I have no idea what it is though.

 

Get the car up in the air and do a close inspection of parts, get a prybar, check the ball joints, springs, shocks, etc. I would also check the frame rails closely especially the area around the steering box. Lookup threads on the Wonderbar and steering box fixes. This a problem area on our cars.

 

Ok I'll take a look under there soon. What is a good wonderbar to get? And how hard are they to install?

 

You can find them on here time to time for around $40, real easy to install this forum. Also check your upper strut mounts, and spindle bolts

 

Well I ordered a TDS wonderbar and when I went to install it, BEHOLD. There is already one there. So I guess I'm returning this wonderbar lol

 

Ok update on this...

Wonderbar was already installed so that gets rid of that. A week ago I replaced two ball joints and a tie arm that was bad on the steering system (according to les shwab after an alignment appointment). Also checked the struts and they seem fine, they don't bounce more then once under pressure, and they come back to rest quickly.

And the car still makes noises when turn the wheel or going over bumps. When going over small washboard bumps it sounds like something is loose and about to fall off the car, but I can find nothing loose on the front end. Its really stumping me.
