WS6 swaybar upgrades?

Gentlemen, I have a question regarding my 89 Formula (WS6). Are there "better" swaybars out there? I was told that the swaybars on my car, although "beefy", are actually hollow. Are the bars from ADDCO better? Also, what are the best shocks and struts for an otherwise stock WS6 car? Thanks.

A bar being hollow or solid as very little to do with its torsional strength as long as the hollow bar has enough material on the wall.

I believe all the bars used on F-bodies are solid except for the 36mm front bar, which is probably comparable to the 34mm performance wise but weighs less.

There is a 34mm hollow.

I have both the 34mm solid and hollow and have been trying to make up my mind on which to put on when I reassemble my front end on Thursday.

The hollow has a 9lbs weight savings, but I want the stiffest of the two on my car. I am no engineer, so I wonder how much stiffer the solid is over the hollow. Which is the better one to install? I am leaning towards the solid, unless someone gives me proof that the wall thickness is thick enough for the hollow to be just as stiff as the solid. And I also don't know that 9 lbs is going to make a huge noticeable difference to me on a weekend car to take the chance.

I can scan in a part of my Civil Engineering 240 book if you want
9lbs saved from the sway bar
40lbs saved on aluminum heads... 6lbs saved from aluminum driveshaft... it all ads up in the end...

I recall reading a good post on this site not to long ago about the difference between solid and hollow bars.

You might want search for it.
