Finished My Steering Box
I finished rebuilding my Steering Box tonight. I'm scared to death of putting it on the car. I hope it doesn't explode. I THINK i did everything right. I had to buy a second kit because i galled the Seal on the Power Piston trying to get it into the housing. I was a little more careful this time. I really, really hope it goes well. the Box feels kinda dry. How do i prime this thing with fluid. I lubed each part when i assembled it, but it still feels a bit dry. Also, i can't remember which hole is the Pressure Hole and which one is return. Can anyone help?

Re: Finished My Steering Box
Well, It worked! I was Relieved. The only thing that i think was suspicious, is that i could only adjust it about three turns total. is this normal? Since i rebuilt the Steering box and everything else was new, I bought a new pressure line and some new tubing. this way, i know the thing is good to go. Unfortunately, i still have slack in my steering. Suspiciously, it's EXACTLY the same amount of slack. Since almost everything is new, this has to be a part that ISN'T new. There's only ONE part like that in my Steering. That's the Column. I thought that since the steering wheel doesn't jiggle, it was stiff. apparently, you can have slack in a steering column without it being loose. What do you guys think? here's a Pic of my handywork.
