lots of clunking and rattling
i have a 89 GTA that i bought in June. i've noticed that i can always here some clunking and rattling every time i go over any sort of bumps and things in the road. not exactly sure what it is. i know it's on the outside of the car. and i also am aware that my sway bar links in the rear are fairly loose, but i don't think it would be making a whole lot of noise. everything seems to be tight underneath. any ideas?

Check the exhaust for clearance everywhere or a broken hanger. I broke a rear hanger on my car and the pipe would clank and bang around on the rear axle where it goes over.

Check/Replace all of the endlinks.
My IROC sounded like it was dragging chains everywhere it went, because the rubber in the endlinks were totally gone.

I just replaced mine in the rear, the rubber or poly or mix of whatever it was had turned into a crumbly substance and was completely useless. Yours are probably in the same state, and need to be replaced. I got tired of the rattle, now no more noise.
