Removed steering play - wow!
Removed steering play - wow!
I just did this on my '88 GTA. It had a bad idler arm which I had changed-out, then aligned. This improved the steering quite a bit, as it was pretty bad. Last night I removed the steering play and what a difference it makes! Took out almost one turn and it's a new car! Highly recommended.

Cool, i also have crappy steering. What exactily did you do? Just replace the idler arm, and have the front end aligned?
Thanks!

I think hes probably talking about the nut on top of the steering box that you can do to take out some of the play. You have to hold the bolt with an allen wrench, loosen the nut, the turn the bolt down a bit.
