eibach LOWERING springs.....!?........please help...
after laboring for three afternoons, changing rear springs and shocks, dissassembling front end, changing bushings ball joints,struts.....and springs. I was looking foward to seeing my T/A 1.5" lower in the front and taking that slow ride to the alighnment shop. so,with anticipation..I let the jack down.....#$@&, I must have left a jack stand under it,....no,there's no jack stands, the struts are frozen!? non of the above, the springs are cought on the frame insead of setteled in the notch, resulting in the front end sitting 6" higher, looking hidious as ever. I must have made the same mistake on each side because it is symetrical. I'm so tired of doing this stuff that I actually called for a labor quote,$150 to "install" springs. the guy knew exactly what I did without me having to tell him,he said people do this all the time! made me feel a little better, but not by much. maybee I should re-attempt this? what did I do wrong? is there any way I can get the springs to settle without taking anything apart again? (even though it would be safer to disconnect the strut) thanks for the help on this.
I did the same mistake when i did my springs for the first time. The only thing you can do is start over and re-position them again. If you have the time, dont pay someone to do it. You obviously got them in there, so you know what you are doing. You just have to tweak them a little. Did you use a compressor?

i just picked up a compresor today (loaner tool from autozone) are you saying that I can slip the compressor in there and re-position the spring with out removing the Aa-arm again? when I first did it I just set the spring on the controler arm and jacked it back up.
