I own an 87 iroc-z and I just found out that I have the original shocks (105,000 mile) on my car. So I know about drag racing shocks 90/10 60/40. But I want shocks designed for handling. I don’t know what is the rating sys for handling shocks. So any help would be appreciated.

 

Unless your car is modified then you are probably better off running a factory replacement. Monroe sensatrac shocks and struts work very well.

 

I don't reccomend the monroes. I put them on last year and they don't feel like a matched set. The rears feel good but the fronts feel loose or like they're valved too light, maybe for a lighter v6. My last car had adj. Koni's, they're great but more $$$.

 

I also second the Koni's.
