I need new rotors please help!

As I was replacing my brake pads I checked the rotor thickness and mine were under the limit of .965 in. The driver side was .955 and the passenger side was .945, so I have decided to purchase new rotors. But I figured why not upgrade to some better ones. So which rotors could I get that work with stock calipers and pads? I dont want to spend over $250 but I do want some high quality ones? Any opinions on GT rotors, Powerslot, or Autospecialty? Should I get cross drilled, slotted or just flat ones? I just want something that will increase the performance for doing some canyon carving and maybe an open track day once in a while? I have front discs and rear drums.

The only rotors that are going to perceptively increase your braking performance are larger diameter rotors, but you'd need to convert in order to do that, and that's obviously out of your stated budget!

That said, I use Autospecialties Powerstop cross-drilled rotors on the front, and I've had them for about a problem-free year and a half. There was no increase in performance (though I wasn't expecting any), I just needed something better looking because I have these 17 inch wheels that are almost all void. They'll serve me find until I can upgrade the entire braking system.

Those rotors were $150 for the pair.

Jza is right, you won't really be able to tell much difference unless you go with bigger dia. rotors, good brake pads make a big difference.
