Front brakes locking on and smoking hot.

On my 1986 Iroc I had the right front brake lock on creating tons of smoke and stoppint me. I then changed the rotor, caliper, pads, on that side as well I changed the pads on the drivers side. I went for less than two miles and the drivers side brake locked up smoking like crazy again. Any Ideas what could be causing this problem.

Maybe you should try changing the brake line going to that side. Then after that, the master cylinder.

Simplest and best first: Change both front flexibles (internal collapse causes this). You must bleed through plenty of brake fluid as well since the old stuff will have well and truly boiled! Then as the gentleman said before, change the master cylinder.

Thanks for the advice Omar and Andy. I changed the flexible lines on both sides and bled them thoroughly. That seems to have fixed it and my braking is now way better than it has been since I have owned the car.

Does it pull at all now? My old car does the same thing. Let me know how it turns out.

Thanks again. The car brakes perfectly straight now and like I said before the braking has improved tremendously.
