Why this noise is going away whenI press the brakes?

My front brakes squeal when the car is moving but when I hit the brakes there is no noise.
It happened after about 3 weeks from a brake replacement.

Weird. What could it be?

PS. One month old Premium pads, brand new calipers/installation kit

Thanks.

Did you remember the clips that hold the pads to the calipers? If so... did you apply anti-squeal sauce to the back of the pads?

Check to make sure the squeal bar on the pad is not misaligned (ie. dropped when you were changing it).

This may seem like a dumb question, but did you have the rotors turned (resurfaced)? If not then the pads will wear down fast into the grooves on the rotors. Then the warning fingers will squeal not too long after a new set of pads.

Just a thought.

I have turn the rotters and their surface is flat.

I can only think of one thing. I have used old brake shims.

I am going to replace those soon.

Thanks for replies guys.

Usually thats the low pad sensor, but since you've got new pads I gotta wonder if you didn't buy el cheapos, and they're wore back down to the sensors again.
Just wondering. Thought you might want to take a look

Either they did a $hitty job machining the rotors or they didn't lube the caliper slides.

I'm havin the same problem, just popped up on me after about 12 months of normal driving. I've searched the threads here and I think it might be the bearings, I'm gonna take a look at it soon and see what needs to be done. I plan on checking the calipers too to make sure they're retracting properly.
