Please, don't make me second guess Spohn . . .
I really want his suspension technology to go onto my car. Are they really built for drag racing like another post mentioned? Kenny Brown connectors do look like Spohn but they are also more expensive and do not come with a powdercoating option. I'm not exactly looking for straight line performance, rather extreme G's. I really think Spohn's will give me the best of both worlds. I'd just like an honest opinions on which one might be better for what I'd like to do. As it stands now, Spohn will still be my choice even more so because he supports this site.

There is no real distinction between drag racing and "G's" with this type of suspension. They're all performance aftermarket replacement parts. Anything better than stock will help you. Buy what your budget allows. The only defining factor would be heim joints for a more solid connection or poly bushings for the quiet ride.
I wouldn't recommend ladder bars if you plan on G's since that's a drag racing suspension. 4-link would be a toss-up but I'd assume it's more for drag racing also. Just replacing stock suspension parts with aftermarket ones doesn't move the car into a specific class of racing. It just improves the handling for the type of racing you intend to do.

Kenny Browns team was super cool with me when I had some questions. That, along with their years of real racing engineering and experience would make me go there as long as the price difference is reasonable. If their price seems unreasonable compared to Spohn, then Spohn would get my $.

My suspension links are Kenny Brown save for the torque arm. The subframes are very light in weight. Spohn equipment is very heavy in weight (unecessarily so) and can't match the build quality of Kenny Brown. I got a Spohn torque arm for my car which was powder coated red. Knock the powder coating off and all you have is rusty iron and I do mean rusty! As far as powder coating goes, you must have a clean metal surface for welding anyway. Besides, you can't see the subframes when the car is on the ground so what difference does the color make?

The difference is that this car will probably attend a couple of shows occasionally and I'm trying to get most of the suspension in powdercoat red. Money is no objection. Cost is nothing to me. I plan on sealing the welds with POR-15 so where the powdercoating burns off it will not rust. I'm still gonna think it over. I've never dealed with either company so I am clueless about products and service. Thanks for the opinions and please keep them coming.
