Anyone hear use either of the Hawk street pads or the the "blue" racing pads on your car? How do you like 'em?

OK, well you responded to my post, thanks.
If I'm not mistaken, Hawk makes three levels of pads. In the past, I have bought the middle grade (blue?) for driver schools on road courses.
They really stop the car fantastic, even on the street when cold. However, they do chew up the rotors under road racing conditions, so they are not "rotor friendly".
I know alot of drivers in showroom stock and autocrossing who use the Hawk brake pads.
Stopping is very important!

They have two street pads, HPS (high performance street) and HP+ (high performance street + racing)... and then the racing pads have a whole bunch of lists including the BLUE and the BLACK pads.
Most the race pads look like they are more severe than I need. I'm trying the HPS out on my mom's '79 vette and will be interested to see how they do. Of course, I'm looking for something more agressive for my '84. I need pads that can put passengers through the windshield when cold, so I'm kind looking at the HP+.

Thanks for the help. I think I'll see how the HPS does in the 'vette, and then try the HP+ in my 84 if that works good.

I've run the DuraStops on the street and at the track on my 4th Gen SS, but have recently switched to the Hawk 'Black' for the track days. I've got the GMPP front rotors.
My 3rd Gen Formula has the GT Rotors with their 'Pursuit' pads. I hope to take this car to the track in Sept.
