Re: what coil spring # should i get???
if its not leaning more toward a drag setup, i would pass on the front coil overs and stick with conventional springs, or if you want adjustablilty, look into Ground controls weight jack setup.

I had the front coilover setup for a while, and while it worked fine, it was noisy occasionally depending on the alignment. Too much in any one direction and the spring would sometimes rub the opening in the strut tower and bang around. I was using 325lb springs, and that was more than enough for an iron block/aluminum headed SBC.

only difference with chromeoly would be some weight savings, since the parts are usually made fomr lighter gauge tubing. Honestly, you will most likely never even come close to noticing a difference in the car with either material. I would just stick with mild steel IMHO.

Re: what coil spring # should i get???
everyone talks so highly of the coil over suspension and with me wanting to get into autoX racing i figured this would be the best way to do so.. ive always wanted an air ride system for the sure fact of not scraping paint going into and out of driveways and other uneven ground.. and for the ride quality.. but with wanting to do auto x that isnt an option.. not that the car will see the track every weekend or anywhere near that probably only a few times a year.. anyone else have any opinons on the coil over suspension??? and as for the chrom moly vs. mild steel i would rather have strenght then light weight so thanks for all the info and i will be sticking with the mild steel..
