New Idler Arm still stiff even after lube

I have not yet installed this arm into the car. I installed the grease fitting into the idler arm joint until it was nice and tight, then stopped before it was flush, so I wouldn't strip the thread. Put 4 entire squeezes of the lube gun into it. Lots of grease coming out of the top of the joint. I can rotate the support bar inside the joint, but it is pretty stiff still, takes some force to move it, it's not gliding freely. Is this normal? Should I keep adding more grease until it moves easily?
Thanks

I think that's normal. They get all loose and floppy when they wear.
