Question on Bilsteins

I have been looking at the Bilsteins rear shocks. I would like to know the real difference between the regular Bilstein shocks and their Sport version.

Thanks,
Steve

You need to call bilstien. It is a difference in valving more then likely. Could also be a linear vs. progresive differance.

i would also like to know what's the difference. I looked up the price at autozone on some Bilstein's and they have 2 types. 1 being the heavy duty setting and another being a sport setting. both being the same price, does anyone the difference? Also are the Bilstein's any better than the KYB's?

The Sports are 1" shorter then stock and HDs. The valving is the same as the HD. They recommend them for cars with lowering springs because at full suspension extension, the shorter lowering springs will want to fall out with a stock length shock. Since the Sports are 1" shorter, they compensate for the 1" shorter lowering springs.

And they are wayyy better the KYBs. I know, I've had both.

The lowering springs will "fall out" of the Eibach HD's? I guess I'd better tie a rope to them so I don't lose them. Actually, I have Eibach Pro-Kit springs with Bilstein HD shocks. I just swapped rear ends again and installed the shocks prior to installing the springs. FYI, if they can "fall out" I should have been able to get them in with the shocks at the max stroke. Nope. I had to pull the shocks loose again to install the springs.
