Inside edge of left front tire wearing out fast
Inside edge of left front tire wearing out fast
I noticed the above happenning. Could that be caused by a worn idler arm? I just changed my idler arm, and am wondering if I should get an alignment. Wondering if the new idler arm has fixed the inner edge wear problem. It's just the inside 1 inch of tread on that tire. The tread is worn off, down to smooth rubber there. Thanks

Excessive NEGATIVE camber is what can cause that. Usually an idler arm is going to affect the toe setting of the alignment. Which will affect both tires in the same manner. Could also be a bad tire. An alignment is all you can do, assuming the rest of the suspension is OK.

Yep, gotta be the alignment. I had the EXACT same problem, only it was both front tires. Turned out that either my toe or camber was a 2.3 when it should have been between .2 and -.2
Wow, big difference huh?
