Front end all bent up, Help!

I got mushed between a guard-rail and a semi and now my driver side wheel is all jacked up. It looks like the top of the wheel is tilted in so the top is closer to the inner wheel well than it should be but the bottom of the wheel seems to sit right where it's supposed to. Also it appears that the whole wheel has been shifted an inch or two towards the rear of the car (from looked at the non-bent up passenger side.)

I don't know a whole lot about suspension and steering could someone describe what could be bent? The car doesn't pull to one side or shake so I hope it's nothing major like the subframe being bent up.

It's an 87 IROC. Thanks for your help!

Re: Front end all bent up, Help!

the wheel moving inward could simply be the strut mount moving. as for front and back, thats usually the subframe being bent or damaged. Could be a variety of other broken parts.

best thing to do would be to pull the wheels off and look at both sides, see what looks different, or whats obviously broken and go from there,

grab some pics and post them, under hood, and in the wheel wells, that will help people here look over the situation for you as well.

i wouldnt be driving the car in this condition until you figure out what going on.

I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow. I gave it a quick look over and nothing is noticeably bent. I'll try to take some measurements tomorrow as well and see exactly how far off everything is.

It might not actually be pushed back now that I look at it, but it is definitely tilted...

pop the hood a look at the strut mounts, that one will most likey be broken, or just shoved all the way in. Provided nothing else is damaged, an alignment shoule fix all that.

they are circled in this pic

dont be surprised if the strut is damaged as well, and possibly the tie rods for the steering
