1LE swap or 13"baer track?
1LE swap or 13"baer track?
The baer track kit 13" rotor with 1.1 thick rotor, pbr caliper i can get for $1150 zinc wash slotted complete. What would it cost to swap a 1le in I have a 89 iroc 4 wheel disc with tiny rotors up front
the baer, that's just for the front right.
the size of the rotor looks cool, but isn't as necessary as the caliper itself; you have to be honest and ask yourself what you want it for. besides true racing those sizes aren't needed but they do look sweet.
if your just wanting the looks ac delco makes gm performance cross drilled and slotted rotors as well as performance brake pads that will give you better stopping power than stock and about the same as 1-le as well as look cooler than the 1-le and at half the price of the baer setup.
the only problem with this is the caliper itself doesn't change, which is what makes the real difference in stopping.
if you can afford the baers than go for it; but if your contemplating the cost i wouldn't do it.
I was thinking about the baer setup front and back and realized that going the way i did i saved myself $2500 to spend on other things and i always get complements and questions about my brakes which except for the rotors and pads are stock. best part is they work really well and everyone thinks i spent a fortune for them.
just my .02 cents

Hmm.. I will have to look into those, I have been contemplating a Baer setup, but I really wanted the looks. If I can find something that works well, but looks trick like the slotted/cross drilled designs, i'll jump all over it.
