Bushings!!!!
Bushings!!!!
Just wondering if what bushings I can replace? I had my car up on the lift today, and I noticed that my front end is screwed up. All my bushings are torn. The bushings for my idler arm and tie rods are especially bad. I'm kinda low on cash, so I was wondering if there was a cheap way 2 fix this? Someone told me that I couldn't buy bushings for an idler arm, and that I just had 2 buy the whole arm. I'de appreciate it if someone could give me some info on what 2 do, and how much it might cost.......thanxs alot guyz.

you replace the idle and tie rod ends not repair them. the only bushings in the front are for the sway bar and control arms

The "torn bushings" you're seeing on the steering pieces are just the protective boots that cover the joints. Check with an auto parts store, you may be able to buy them separately. Unfortunately, you have to disassemble the joints to replace them.
If the joints are stock, and your car has a lot of miles, they're probably worn out anyway. Quality replacement parts aren't that expensive, and you will notice a massive improvement in your steering quality.
