I just put a set of GR2's on the rear of my car last week, so far I like them, not to stiff but seem to handle pretty good, although I was really in need of new shocks and struts but so far I'm happy.

I have gas-a-just which is a lil stiffer i think than the gr2's and I like them. My shocks were completely shot before and I went over all the suspension at once but these shocks give you a stiff enough ride so you can tell your in a performance car but they wont jar your brain out.

Re: kyb gr2 rear shocks any good?
I installed them a few months ago on my "badly needing them" car. They offer a nice smooth ride and you can't beat the price. If you're at stock ride height and have stock sized tires, you will LOVE them. My car is lowered with 315/35/17 DR tires in the rear, and polly/spherical LCA's and panhards, so my ride is a bit rough, but I love it. With a stock setup, from my experience, those shocks will be a nice compliment.

i have the GR2's front and rear but most go with the gas-a-just ones in the rear...
my rear's work great tho
springs are essential as well, id do both at the same time (shocks, struts and springs)

I got GR2's all around on my daily driver '92 that is stock with 16" wheels and ride quality is good and not too stiff. I just got them installed a month ago. Summit Racing had the cheapest price that I know and way cheaper than O'Reilly's. From Summit it was about $160 shipped for all 4. The rears go $21 a piece at Summit!
I have Bilstein's all around on my '86 which is not stock and the ride is more rough but handling is better. However, I have a lot more aftermarket parts in that car. I know one guy on here says he uses GR2's for auto-x but at the same time he also said he kind of wants to get Bilsteins. I don't know if I would get Bilsteins again just because of the price, over $500 for all 4 versus $160 for all 4.
