SFC and Dual exhaust >>>> will it work???
I know the saying of it will work if you have $$$$$, but im wondering if it is easy hard to have done.
My thoughts of true dual 2.5" all the way back and then some SFC's. I assume I would have to do a custom job for both, but how much would custom subframes cost??
and has anyone done this before???

Long, but it explains 2 methods of routing dual exhaust.
I am about to put dual exhaust on my 91 formula WS6 (true duals, hopefully). I have been talking to this muffler shop (R.A.M. Exhaust A & B Muffler, Dallas, TX) that does custom dual setups. They can modify mufflers and catalytic converters and make things fit in very tight spaces.
The guy was telling me about a dual setup he put in an F-body a while ago where he dropped the panhard bar down about an inch, and ran two pipes where the stock one goes.
I want true duals, and I think my plan will work--cat and muffler (if you're not using a cat, it will be incredibly easy and you'll have more clearance than stock) where the stock cats (I have two, stock) are. I am going with Spin Tech Pro Street mufflers (4x6x12), which are the same size as my cats. If two cats fit on one side with room to spare, I can fit a cat and a muffler on each side.
The other way is somebody posted on here about using turbo tubes and putting them partly in the trough by the rocker panel. You could do this and use the turbo tubes, or hooker elite stainless universal muffler (3 1/2" diameter, 22" long) or the Hooker original header muffler (black painted finish, half the price, same insides 3 1/2" diameter, 3" flanged inlet--could be modified--and 2 1/8" outlet).

Oh yeah, you wanted to know about SFCs. Why don't you weld some metal onto your frame to effectively drop the SFC mounting points down below the exhaust and weld the SFCs onto that.
Obviously, this won't be as good (spohn calls for welding SFCs every 6 inches), but if you then run a sort of Y brace to your frame where it goes towards the center of the car under the general area of the front seats, then your SFCs should be pretty good. Some SFCs only only secure front and back and don't use any Y brace, so you'd be way ahead of them. Because of my trick exhaust setup (see above post), This is most likely what I'll do, unless I can leave room on the sides for the SFCs. I'll still use a dropped Y brace.
